Modern laws are being born because of tech

Technology tends to change our life. People develop gadgets and smart devices that shall help them in everyday routine. But as a side effect, people also become more dependant of them. The new era has started and it will bring tones of differences that we cannot even imagine right now. At this point, it is very reasonable for governments and lawyers to start creating rules, that would regulate our interaction with technology. And they're actually started to.

Honolulu, a Hawaiian city, has been working on a bill that will prohibit people to stare at their smartphones while crossing streets. You can view the document here. It states that: "No pedestrian shall cross a street or highway while viewing a mobile electronic device." It will cost you $35 if they catch you, and the price will go up for repeated offences.

This is a great idea, considering the number of accidents where victims were playing or texting, while crossing the streets. Remember the Pokemon GO insanity? According to Dailymail, in 2016: "more than 100,000 incidents were caused by drivers and pedestrians distracted by the game in 10 day period." More than a hundred thousand people, CARL!

I'm pretty sure that Honolulu case was just a beginning. In the nearest future, similar bills and rules will appear all around the world. So be careful and watch out for cars and policemen.
